Hi! I’m Sarah DiPiazza, the owner of Roam Around The World Travel LLC and Roam Italy Travel Co. I’m a 30-year-old travel advisor based in Colfax, Wisconsin. I grew up in Madison and later moved to the Eau Claire area for college, where I studied Music Performance (Clarinet) at the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire from 2013–2017. Music gave me unforgettable travel opportunities — Spain, Italy, Montreal, Tanzania, and several destinations across the U.S. One of the biggest highlights of my life was going on safari in Tanzania. It was absolutely incredible and something I never imagined I’d get to do.
Italy has been my obsession since childhood — probably because my family is Sicilian! After my first trip in 2015, I fell in love instantly. I’ve returned several times, and every visit makes me love it more. The food, the views, the culture, the people, the history… Italy just has special place in my heart.
I also have three cats — Rome, Sicily, and Mish. Rome and Sicily (yes, I named them after my favorite place!) are 7-year-old siblings I adopted as 8-week old kittens in November 2018, and Mish joined the family in April 2025, and she is 2 years old. My cats are my life & I absolutely love them to pieces.
When I’m not planning trips or helping clients, I love podcasts, music, diamond painting, spending time with friends and family (especially my brother’s dog, Charlotte), traveling, and hanging out with my kitties.
I became a Travel Advisor in April 2023 after being laid off from 3M. It was a stressful moment, but honestly the best thing that ever happened to me — it pushed me straight into my dream career. I later returned to 3M briefly before transitioning out in December 2024. Since then, I’ve also been waitressing on the side, which has been a fun and unexpected adventure. At my core, I genuinely love helping people — whether that’s planning their dream vacation or just making their day a little easier.
If you’re dreaming of a trip that feels effortless, elevated, and personally tailored to you - you're in the right place.

As a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, I plan every trip with safety, inclusivity, and respect at the center. I believe travel is for everyone, and I will never send you somewhere that isn’t welcoming or safe. Whether you’re a same-sex couple, a solo LGBTQ+ traveler, or planning a group trip, I make sure your destinations, hotels, tours, and cruise lines support and celebrate who you are. My goal is to help you travel confidently, comfortably, and authentically—without having to question your safety or acceptance.

I work with a variety of travelers - but majority of them fall into a few key categories. If you are one of them - you're definitely in the right place!
• Couples – young couples, newlyweds, honeymooners, anniversary travelers, and senior couples who want a romantic, well-planned getaway without the stress.
• Families with teens – especially families who want meaningful, educational, or adventure-focused vacations.
• Friend groups & Girls trips – groups who want something easy, fun, elevated, and safe, without having to coordinate every detail on their own.
• LGBTQ+ travelers – I’m part of the LGBTQ+ community myself, so I prioritize destinations and experiences that are safe, inclusive, and welcoming.
• Bucket-list travelers – people finally ready to check off those destinations they’ve always dreamed of.
• Wisconsin-based travelers – especially those from the Eau Claire, Menomonie, Colfax, Chippewa Falls and Madison areas who want a local travel advisor they can trust.
• Busy professionals – people who don’t have the time (or patience) to plan a big trip and want expert help so they can actually relax and enjoy it.
• Travelers who want real support, not a 1-800-number or Live Chat Bot – clients who appreciate clear communication, guidance, and someone who truly cares to handle all of the important details.
If you want a vacation that’s smooth, safe, elevated and tailored to your travel style — you’re exactly the kind of client I work best with.
I’m proudly hosted by Fora Travel, an industry-leading host agency that gives me elite access to the world’s top travel brands, preferred partners, and exclusive perks you can’t get booking on your own. Through Fora, I’m also part of the Virtuoso network — the most respected luxury travel consortia in the world.
So what does that mean for you?
It means you get VIP treatment everywhere you go. Many of my clients receive complimentary perks like onboard credit, free room upgrades, included breakfast, welcome amenities, early check-in, late check-out, resort credits, and other exclusive benefits reserved for Virtuoso-level advisors and their travelers. These are the kinds of perks that easily add hundreds (sometimes thousands) of dollars of value to your trip — simply because you booked through me.
I only work with trusted, reputable partners who deliver outstanding service, safety, and quality. These are the brands, DMCs, cruise lines, and vendors I rely on because I know they will take great care of my clients — and I can trust them with bucket-list experiences.

Because you’re not just paying for a booking — you’re paying for expertise, time, convenience and protection. I spend hours researching, comparing options, planning logistics, confirming details, and making sure everything fits your travel style. I also monitor your trip before and during travel, assist with issues, and provide recommendations you won’t get from a booking site. My fee ensures you get high-touch, personalized service instead of doing the work yourself.
Yes. I only book destinations I know extremely well or that align with my expertise. I do not book Disney theme park vacations — I’ve never been to Disney, and I don’t believe in planning a type of trip I have no firsthand experience with. I also do not build custom land itineraries in Australia or New Zealand. I only book those destinations as part of a cruise or as a pre-determined group guided tour where the itinerary is already structured by trusted partners.
I also avoid destinations that are unsafe, unstable, or not welcoming to LGBTQ+ travelers. If something doesn’t meet my safety or quality standards, I’ll guide you toward better alternatives.
Cruise pricing varies depending on the cruise line, ship, cabin type, destination, season and how early you book. A typical 7-night Caribbean or Mediterranean cruise can range from $1,200–$3,500 per person for mainstream lines, and $3,500–$8,000+ for luxury lines. River cruises generally start around $4,000–$7,000 per person. I’ll compare options to find the best value and perks that meets your needs.
Italy is amazing year-round, but the best times for comfortable weather and lighter crowds are April–June and September–October. July and August are the hottest and most crowded, while winter is perfect for cities, food, and culture. I’ll help you choose dates that match your travel style.
The best safari months depend on the country, but in general, June–October is ideal for wildlife viewing because animals gather around water sources. Some countries have unique highlights, like the Great Migration in Tanzania/Kenya (July–September). I’ll recommend the perfect timing based on where you want to go.
Caribbean cruises sail year-round, but the best months for weather are December–April. Hurricane season runs June–November, but cruises still operate — and sometimes offer great pricing. I’ll guide you based on your comfort level and the experience you want.
European cruises operate mainly from April–October. The best months for weather and fewer crowds are May, June and September. July and August are great but busier and hotter.
To really enjoy Italy without rushing, I recommend 7–10 days minimum. If you want to see several cities, 10–14 days is ideal. Italy is best experienced at a slower, more intentional pace.
Luxury safaris usually range from $6,000–$15,000+ per person, depending on country, time of year, and lodge level. Safaris include accommodations, meals, game drives, guides, transfers and more — so while the price looks high, the value is incredible. I’ll help you choose the right lodge and itinerary for your budget.
Yes — when planned correctly and with reputable lodges, safaris are extremely safe. You’re guided by trained experts who know the wildlife and environment. I only book trusted partners with excellent safety records.
Renting a car is great for regions like Tuscany, Puglia, and Sicily where small towns are best explored by road. It’s not recommended for big cities like Rome, Florence or Venice. Unless you have experience driving in Italy previously, I generally don't encourage clients to rent a car because of the confusing traffic laws & traffic signs that you must understand.
Every trip and supplier has different cancellation policies. When we plan your trip, I’ll review all terms with you so you clearly understand deadlines, refunds, and fees. Travel insurance can often protect your investment if you need to cancel for covered reasons.
The bedbug outbreak that made the news was temporary and heavily exaggerated online. Paris hotels and tourism authorities took immediate action. Bedbugs can technically happen anywhere in the world, but they’re not a daily issue — and I only book reputable hotels with high cleanliness standards.
For international trips, booking 3–6 months in advance is ideal. For peak season (summer, holidays), aim for 6–9 months. Booking earlier gives you better pricing and better schedules.
For the best cabins, pricing, and perks, book 6–18 months in advance. River cruises and holiday sailings should be booked at least 2 years in advance to get the best price & the cabin you want. Last-minute deals do exist, but they’re usually limited in cabin choice and dates.
Pickpocketing can happen in any major city, and Barcelona and Paris are known hot spots simply because they’re busy, popular tourist destinations. You don’t need to be scared — you just need to be aware. The key is using basic precautions: keep valuables zipped and close to your body, avoid leaving your phone in your back pocket, and stay alert in crowded areas like metros, busy squares, and popular attractions.
I’ll give you simple safety tips before you travel so you know exactly what to expect and how to protect yourself. With a little awareness and simple precautions, you’ll be totally fine and can enjoy your trip without worrying about this.
Yes — travel insurance protects you financially if something unexpected happens. It can cover things like cancellations, medical emergencies abroad, lost luggage, missed connections and more. If you’re spending thousands on a trip, protecting it just makes sense. I legally cannot force you to purchase trip protection - but I highly recommend it.
